S.1 — About
About the project
Black Orchid is a fragrance defined by weight and opacity. The brief was to translate that density into motion without ever softening it: no bright key, no reassuring gloss, just a single object holding a room.
We built the bottle as a full optical asset — measured refraction indices, internal caustics and a lacquer surface that reads as depth rather than shine. Lighting was treated as set design, with every source placed to carve the silhouette instead of describing it.
The result is a loop that works at any length. Cut at six seconds it is a social asset; run at forty it is a campaign film. The material behaviour carries the story, so the edit never has to explain itself.
